my political interests My key aspects of activity in local politics as a quarter councelor Since Oktober 2009 I am a quarter councelor for the SPD in Seckenheim. These are my political key aspects of activity: Public Transportation – In the actual debate about climatechange, public transportation gets more important. I am using public transportation on a regular basis. Therefore I will support the improvement of public transportation and a better informationsystem for the passengers. From the passenger for the passenger! Comparing to other cities there is a lot to do in Mannheim. Culture – Mannheim has a lot to offer. But not only the big institutions need support. Also the small cultural people, associations, etc. need support and an appreciation for their work. I support the application of the city of Mannheim for european cultural capital 2020. Quarter Development –  Mannheim has a high potential. It mus be invested in infrastructure, payable housing and lifeable- and loveable quarters. How does our city look like in the future? It is very important to me to save our historical buildings and landmarks. Modern buildings must be adapted in the existing structures.  Finaly it must be invested in the quarters. Neither the Seckenheimer Planken (Main streat and place) or the center of Wallstadt etc. it must be done something. Especially the opening of our city to our two rivers (Rhein & Neckar)  including the quarters is requested. For Seckenheim / Hochstaett / Suebenheim - For Seckenheim is the redevelopement of the Planken one of my targets. The workgroup at Hochstaett is claiming the extension of the S-Bahn Haltepunkt (Rapid Train Stop) in conjunciton with the bus stop. Also a gratory traffic is claimed for the main quarter entrance. For Suebenheim is a better bus connection very important and claimed by me.
